Morphē Design

Privacy policy.

Updated 2 November 2026

Morphē Run records runs and enables private races between people who choose to connect. This policy describes the data used by the app and the choices available to you.

Information we use

How data is used and shared

We use this information to manage accounts, record runs, verify competitive results, connect runners, deliver invitations, restore interrupted activity and prevent abuse. Opponents receive race progress and results, not your private route coordinates. If you appoint a trusted person and choose to share live location during a run, that person can view your position until sharing ends or the run finishes. Morphē Run does not sell personal information or use precise location for advertising.

We use service providers for authentication, database storage, notifications, diagnostics and app distribution. We do not make your private route publicly visible.

Location and retention

Foreground and background location are used to keep distance, pace and route recording accurate during an active run, including when the screen is locked. Raw GPS evidence used to verify a race is stored separately from the result and is marked for expiry after 30 days; actual removal may occur later. Profile and connection records remain while your account is active. Shared race records may remain after account deletion to preserve other runners’ results. Your displayed name is replaced by “Deleted runner”, but the record may retain an internal account identifier and race statistics.

Health platforms and contacts

Health sync is optional and requires your permission. If you enable it, completed runs are automatically saved to Apple Health or Android Health Connect until you turn it off. Contact access is optional; denying it does not prevent solo runs or connection by Morphē ID.

Garmin Connect data

If you choose to connect Garmin Connect, Morphē Run receives completed running activity data that you authorise Garmin to provide. This may include Garmin activity identifiers, start time, duration, distance, pace and route information. We use it only to import completed runs into your private Morphē Run history, display those activities to you and provide features you explicitly request. Connecting Garmin is optional.

Garmin user data may be processed on our behalf by Google Firebase and Google Cloud, which provide authentication, database, storage and backend infrastructure for Morphē Run. Morphē Design Ltd does not disclose Garmin user data to advertisers, data brokers or other fitness services and does not sell it. We do not permit any third party to use Garmin user data for its own marketing or unrelated purposes. We may disclose information where required by law.

Garmin user data is not used to train, evaluate or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning models and is not processed by an AI system. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain your explicit consent before that processing begins. You will be able to withdraw that consent at any time.

You can disconnect Garmin Connect in Connected devices, which withdraws consent and stops new imports. You can also revoke Morphē Run in your Garmin Connect account. You may view imported activities in Morphē Run, remove an imported activity, delete your Morphē Run account, or contact support@morphedesign.co.uk to request access to, correction of, deletion of or an export of Garmin data associated with your account. Disconnecting Garmin does not automatically delete activities already imported; remove them in the app or request their deletion.

Your choices and account deletion

You can revoke location, contacts, notification and health permissions in your device settings. You can remove activities in the app and delete your account from Account & Membership. See how to request account deletion. Account deletion removes your profile, connections and private cloud activity. Data already saved on your device or in a device health app may require separate removal there. Shared race records are retained as described above.
